Academic Doctorate

Academic Doctorate - ECO's Doctoral Program is aimed at all graduates in general, with or without master's degrees, who wish to deepen their knowledge of general economic theory and two or more fields of specialization in order to qualitatively advance their careers as professors and/or researchers. The selection process takes place annually.

The doctoral course in economics consists of 2 areas of concentration:

I. Economic Analysis

The area of concentration "Economic Analysis" is composed of two lines of research (LP):
I.1. Applied Economics (LP-EA)

II. Political Economy, Development and Environment

The area of concentration "Political Economy, Development and Environment" is composed of two lines of research (LP):

            • The Public Sector line consists of 8 professors, and the courses address the application of mainstream economic theory and quantitative methods of analysis (applied econometrics).
            • The research carried out in this line analyzes issues related to public policy and its economic effects.
            • Students who choose this line will use microeconomic and empirical analysis tools to evaluate the government's performance in the various areas in which it operates.
